South Tyrol's apple region with a southern flair
Our town, Leifers, with its villages Branzoll and Pfatten at the South Tyrolean wine road, offers all year round relaxation and lots of variety. Family-friendly higing trips in all directions, as well as cyxling is much loved in this area. A well-established network of cycle trails, partly along the Etsch river, along the former "Via Claudia Augusta", enables you to cycle to Lake Garda or take a comfortable tour in Spring into the blooming Etschtal. During the summer, you can enjoy wonderful bathing lake, Lake Kaltern and the Montiggl Lakes, and in autumn, you can discover the lowlandy during their harvest time.
Recommended: day tours into the mountain wold of the Dolomites, as well as quick trip to Verona for an opera or to Venice. A great bus connection to the provincial capital Bozen, permits you to take a promising walk around the city (tip: Saturday market), a visit to the museum, a railway drive on Bozen's Kohlern mountain or to the erth pyramides at the Ritten mountain. Somathing worth seeing in Leifers is the newly built parish church, which entices lots of art lovers due to its futuristic building structure.
