Vadena (German: Pfatten) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 40 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 10 km southwest of the city of Bolzano.
The municipality of Vadena contains the frazione (subdivision) Piccolongo (Piglon) and is home to the medieval castle of Laimburg.
Vadena borders the following municipalities: Auer, Bolzano, Bronzolo, Eppan an der Weinstraße, Kaltern an der Weinstraße, Laives and Tramin an der Weinstraße.
